Of course you did! Serving our growing Latino population has captured the attention of investors!
We include you in our celebration of Health Wildcatters, a nationally-recognized healthcare start up accelerator, inviting Vidas Sanas to be part of its 2015 Class! It is a nod to the growing influence of Latino healthcare consumers and the healthcare professionals dedicated to their health and wellbeing.
As you know, for the last 12 years our non-profit, The Works of Our Mother of the Americas, has been serving the Latino community and providers like you to strengthen the health and wellbeing of families within faith-health partnerships. A few months ago, Jesus (husband) and I began to focus on engaging Latino populations where they work. For we know that employee engagement is now a business strategy for companies of all sizes in their quest to lower costs -- and we know we can help them!
However, we realized that if we were going to move from transforming the lives of hundreds of lives to the 55 million Latinos living in the U.S. – we would have to transition Vidas Sanas to a for-profit company.
Therefore we sought out nationally recognized healthcare leaders committed to our success of this new venture so as to be our Vidas Sanas Advisory Team and they are…
Enter Health Wildcatters
And that’s where Health Wildcatters (HW) comes in.
As you may know, HW is a nationally recognized mentor-driven healthcare accelerator. They provide mentorship, guidance and seed capital for our new company. It was formed by a group of investors that wanted to find, and fund, the most innovative startups in the health industry.
For us, it’s an historical moment as we are the first Latino business ever invited to participate in their program. We came on top of hundreds of applications from all over the country because of our first-ever and innovative approach to health and wellbeing for Latino populations.

Together we change lives
Together we have the opportunity to create change in the lives of millions of Latinos within our first-ever behavior change ecosystem.
Let us help employers manage the health population of their Latino employees and share our cultural values and strengths with other minority groups as in the words of Dr. DeHaven, “It is the community that creates health”. We firmly believe this and wish to bring back the social into medicine.
Please let me know when you have the time for a short visit to keep you updated and see how we may continue to collaborate in serving our families.
